• Question: what is your greatest invention

      I haven’t invented much in my science research, but my best experiment is looking at how and why venus fly traps close. Though I have invented a lamb tandoori and yoghurt pizza, which is awesome!

      I’ve not really invented anything as such. In my lab, we’ve come up with what we think is a better way to use viruses to kill cancer cells. Whether it works or not remains to be seen!

      I’ve never ‘invented’ anything as such in my scientific career. I’ve made a couple of discoveries, but nothing that could be called an ‘invention’ – an invention I would say is something that you can sell, whereas what I have found have been explanations for certain occurrences in my research.

      Probably the 11am coffee break. Essential for getting me through the day.

      Oh and also using neural network, computer generated artificial brain cells, to search for patterns in our data. Although I don’t think this classes as an invention as they have been around for a long time, I just though to use it on our data.

      ohh hmm.Well being a psychologist there are not many inventions within the field…..however out of the field I once invented this series of strings all connecting to a stick for my friend when they hurt their back so they could operate their TV, microwave and reach to get things all from the comfort of their chair-it was pretty nifty tbh!
