  Yes, I have made these crystals, and I make them regularly. The real trick is perfecting the crystals, and that is ongoing! What I’m trying to do now is to make them small (about 3 millionths of a metre across), and to spin them close to cells to ‘stretch’ the cell membrane. They’re not actually stones – they are too small for that, and the biggest size that they grow to is around 15 millionths of a metre, which unfortunately isn’t small enough for what we want to do with them.
