• Question: what is the best thing you have ever done for some one else? !

      i worked in a clinic with morbidly obese people before, helping people loose weight through psychological intervention, counselling, diet and exercise before I left one of my clients(who had been massively successful at the programme) came up to me and said that i had given her back her life. That is what inspired me to stay within research if i only have the opportunity to help one more person in my carrer then it will be worth it!

      I would love to say “I’ve done so many good things”, but when you call me to ask just one, I can’t think of it! Beyond donating money to charity (although good, and I believe it to be very important, it is rather impersonal), I think that one of the best things I have done for someone else has been volunteering as a leader at our local Scout Group. It was a while ago, but the Cub Scouts really enjoyed having a younger leader present, and meant that they were able to work towards badges that they otherwise wouldn’t have had a chance to achieve.
