I think that I will use it best by putting on a show that everyone can enjoy whilst learning about science. Take a look at my profile and tell me you wouldn’t spend the money on that!

I’m sure everyone will use the money for something good! Personally, I want to continue my research into something that I’m really really interested in, and that will hopefully lead to some useful results.

I think everyone will use the money for something interesting. I’d like it to go and present my work to a wider audience so I can get some feedback and ideas on how to proceed.

To be fair I can’t say that the other research isn’t anymore worthwhile than my own I can only justify that mine is in itself a worthy cause. I plan to invest the prize money in communicating my research programme within communities and those who are in most need of obesity intervention but have least awareness of how to go about it.

I suppose the difference with my project is that I will be directly helping people. In particular those struggling to gain control over their weight.

Currently I am working towards a programme that will ultimately help those most vulnerable break their destructive habits and help them take back control over their diet and exercise and thus their lives. By enabling people with the techniques and knowledge they need to be able to stick to their goals and maintain their motivation there is the possibility of saving people from a life of obesity and the certain chronic disease that comes with it and thus therein the opportunity to potentially save lives.

Oooh! You’re really pitting us against each other here! Actually, I think that everyone here would do a really good job of spending the money, and it will all be spent for the better. All I’m competing for is for the chance to decide what the money gets spent on. One thing I’ll say is that schools in my local area will benefit from the way I’ll spend it! People in other areas will benefit from other scientsts spending it!
